Unit Overview
Week I. GoodReads & Mentor Text Inquiry
You will investigate the features of the book review genre to familiarize yourself with the ingredients and "moves" of book reviewers. You will find models on GoodReads because that's where real readers go for reading tips!
Week II. Writing Process & Authentic Voice
You will follow the recursive writing process to collect, draft, revise, edit, and publish your piece! You will also experiment with breaking out of your academic voice in order to embrace and cultivate your own writer's voice!
